11/14/2022 0 Comments Just cause 2 crash on startupI'm not seeing any artifacting before the crash and generally my frame rates seem totally fine so i don't even think the card is being taxed very much. Whereas on a 200 series driver it was usually crashing in the first 5 mins. Generally now i can on occasion get in as much as 30 mins of playtime before crashing. Installing the older driver is the only step that seems to have had some impact. added /failsafe command to the games properties in steam cleaned and installed a pre-200 series nvidia driver (currently 197.45) I've done the following according to other stuff i've read on evga and nvidias forums: Playing the game through steam, system is described below: I've done alot of reading on this and it appears to be a fairly commmon problem, but none of the solutions i've found are changing anything. Basically after an inconsistent number of minutes playing (though more often then not if happens in the first 15 mins) the screen goes black and my computer reboots. Great game but it crashes my system constantly. Also my game is not installed on the C: drive, it is on the E: drive which is an external HDD but I moved it to an internal one (D and the issue still persists.Hey all, i'm at my wits end with this. There is an 1809 update but that has known issues and can only be installed manually, and would rather wait until it is pushed through the updater and the issues are and I've never had Nahimic installed on my system at all, my PC is not prebuilt the motherboard is just to disable second monitor and made no difference. I even added The Sims 4 as an exception, disabled Avast, and repaired the game files and still nothing.Īlso every time I check for windows updates, it says that there are none and I'm on the latest one (1803). A temporary fix that I found was creating a brand new user account on my Windows 10 and launching Ylands from there. I reinstalled Origin with Avast disabled anyway to see if that would change anything, and still crashing. I have the same problem with crashing on game launch, it just does not respond and exits everytime. It could do good to add this program to the list of problematic ones in the stickied post, and hopefully it will be patched checked avast exceptions, and I've added Origin as an exception in the past. Just a heads-up if you use these programs. Make sure it has permission to pass windows firewall security. Today however, every time i try to open the application it runs up to the start up load screen for the game and then it just stops responding there right in the middle of loading the game. In check the settings for the game in there, and the firewall section. So just yesterday I was able to play just cause 2 with no problems what-so-ever. If not in windows 10 you may need to go to Action center. Right click on the game Icon and select run as Administrator. Had this issue with CS:GO, Borderlands 2 and various other games and once I turned off the in-game overlay the games launched. If you also have a desktop Icon in windows to launch just cause 2. I'm not sure if this is going to be the same for everyone, but if you experience crashing at startup or the logo screen and DON'T have mods, if you use MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner for the in-game overlay, there seems to be an issue with this and it won't allow you to launch some games at all. Some because they never played it and at the price it. GPU drivers should be up to date, this is the only game that I have this issue with so it seems isolated.Īttached is my dxdiag, and if there are any other specifications that need to be provided I will happily do so. With Just Cause 3 out now Just Cause 2 was on sale on Steam recently and a lot of people picked it up. I have tried to also restart my computer after all these things, and still the same thing. I have repaired the install many times, with and without anti-virus activated (Avast), and the problem still occurs. I applied the -w launch option, and that allowed me to make it to The Sims 4 logo screen, but then it immediately crashes after that. Upon attempting to launch the game, it will show a white screen and then immediately crash. So I recently purchased The Sims 4, and it is a fresh install and everything (no mods or anything).
